My arrangement of the traditional Scottish folk tune "Atholl Highlanders", scored for 3 violins with chords for guitar or piano (or other accompanying instrument). With the download you'll receive a pdf of the sheet music, a midi file, and practise mixes with the harmony parts turned up louder for help with learning them.
The arrangement can be played as a duet by two players, or a trio with all three parts. As well as harmony parts for the original tune, I have written a new section which serves as an introduction, and come back again in a slight variation to be a middle 8 section before returning to the main tune.
*NEW!* This download now also includes a bonus score for string quartet. I have added a cello part, and provided the viola part as either alto clef (viola) or treble clef (violin 3). There is also an alto clef version of the cello part up an octave for a viola to play if needed. The string quartet score includes individual instrumental parts.
I have lots more arrangement of mainly celtic folk tunes, scored for the same instruments (2 or 3 fiddles) and a few for larger string groups too. You can browse my collection of sheet music at
www.georgianettleton.com/celtic-sheet-music.php .
PLEASE NOTE: the recordings and midi files included are just for the violin trio arrangement. The string quartet score is a bonus item which was added later and has not been recorded.
