Sheet music for my harmony arrangements of folk tunes from Central France.
This pack includes the pdf sheet music for ten sets of two tunes (so twenty tunes in total) arranged in harmony for string quartet, and also suitable for trios and duets.
You can also use them with three violins and cello, or three violins and viola, if you don't have a "traditional" string quartet line-up.
WHAT YOU GET WITH THIS DOWNLOAD:
The multipack includes:
* pdf sheet music for each piece (3 different versions, for different instrument combinations)
* audio demos in your choice of audio format (e.g. mp3 or flac)
* midi files.
Although this pack of music is listed as being for String Quartet, the arrangements are versatile - by picking different harmony parts and/or versions of the score, you can play them on any of the following instrument combinations:
* Violin duet
* Violin trio
* Violin trio and cello
* Violin duet and cello
* Violin and cello
* Violin trio and viola
* Violin duet and viola
* Violin and viola
* Two violins and two violas
* String quartet
The scores that come with the download are in pdf format, and for each piece you'll receive the following scores:
* String quartet
* Violin trio and viola (original cello part up an octave in alto clef for viola)
* Violin trio and cello (original viola part in treble clef for violin)
By combining these scores, you can use them with all the instrument combinations listed at the top.
The scores have chords printed for an accompanying instrument (e.g. guitar). As these French tunes are traditionally played on hurdy gurdy and bagpipes, which usually have a drone going on as well as the melody, I've included a suggested drone note for each tune (or set of tunes - there are some where the same note will work for both).
*** NEW - in this collection, I've also included individual instrument parts as well as the full scores. ***
You will also receive recordings: the full recordings you can hear in the player on this page, and also some extra recordings to help learn the parts, which I call "practise mixes". The practise mixes have the harmony parts turned up in the mix, and all the others turned down, which helps people to learn the parts by ear.
As well as this, you'll get MIDI files of each part.
