Instrumental sheet music for my harmony arrangement of the Irish traditional song "Cockles and Mussels' (also known as 'Molly Malone').

The album download includes my demonstration recording that you can hear in on this page, and a pdf of the full score, as well as three additional pdfs of each separate violin part. It is scored for three violins (although could be played on two just taking the first two parts) with chords for guitar, piano or any other chordal instrument.

Recording and Score Notes:
---------------------------------

Page one of the pdf is the full score for the first, slower time through the melody as heard in my recording. This version of the tune is intended to be played slowly, as a gentle build-up or introduction.

Page two is a three part harmony version of the main theme, to be played a little faster. In my recording I first play the tune and the Violin 2 part, then repeat this and play it with the tune and the Violin 3 part. To save space in the score, I've included all three parts together on the same page (i.e. the score does not exactly reflect the recording) - you can choose your preferred way of arranging this depending on number of players, preference etc.

Page three is a newly composed middle 8 written by me, which breaks up the arrangement a bit before repeating the main theme in three part harmony to finish.

*NEW!* This download now also includes bonus scores for string quartet. I have added a cello part to each tune, and provided the viola part as either alto clef (viola) or treble clef (violin 3). There is also an alto clef version of the cello part up an octave for a viola to play if needed. The string quartet score includes individual instrumental parts.

PLEASE NOTE:
* the recordings and midi files included are just for the violin trio arrangement. The string quartet score is a bonus item which was added later and has not been recorded.
* the piano part that you can hear in the recording is for the purpose of demonstrating the chord symbols that are included on the score. There is no scored piano part included in the sheet music.
